A couple of years ago, I set a goal to read 52 nonfiction books in a year. Before that, I’d spent decades bouncing between not reading at all and tearing through a handful of mostly escapist fantasy novels. As an entrepreneur, a parent, and someone curious about how people, systems, money, and time actually work, the shift had a real impact on how I think and operate.
this list is all nonfiction because, at this stage of my life, I’ve found it more useful to read things that sharpen my thinking and decision-making than to disappear into stories. I still enjoy fiction, but if you feel like there are areas of your life you want to improve, reading can be a powerful way to move things forward.
Not every author here shares my worldview, so this isn’t a list of endorsements. These are simply ideas I’ve explored, challenged, and either kept or discarded along the way.
